Many Bridal Stores Offer Free try-ons For Their Dresses: This allows brides-to-be to get a feel for the dress and see how it looks on them before making a final purchase. However, some stores may require an appointment or a fee for trying on dresses, especially if the store is high-end or has high demand. At Jana Ann Couture, we do our absolute best to accommodate walk-ins, but we suggest scheduling an appointment so that you have a dedicated bridal stylist to take care the best care of you and your bridal party.

Additionally, it’s important to remember that alterations and other services may come at an additional cost, so it’s important to factor those into the overall budget. Overall, while many bridal stores offer free try-ons, it’s important to do research and communicate with the store to ensure a successful dress shopping experience.  Here, we do not have an appointment fee to ensure that our brides feel comfortable coming into our showroom!

How Many Guests can I Bring With Me to My Bridal Appointment?
Traditionally, it is recommended to bring 2-3 close family members or friends to your appointment to help you make a decision on your wedding dress. Bringing too large of a group may make it difficult to focus and make a decision. It’s important to check with the salon ahead of time to see what their policy is on the number of guests allowed.

The number of guests you can bring with you to your bridal appointment typically depends on the policies of the bridal boutique or salon you’re visiting. Some places may allow a bride-to-be to bring just one or two individuals, while others may allow up to six guests to come along.

Generally, it’s a good idea to check with the boutique ahead of time to understand their policies. Additionally, keep in mind that fewer guests can actually be a benefit, as it can help keep your appointment running smoothly and minimize distractions. Ultimately, the choice is yours, but it’s best to confirm the maximum number of guests prior to your appointment to ensure everyone can comfortably attend.  We try not to limit our bride in party size, but we find that no more than six guests is usually best for our brides! If you happen to have a larger bridal party, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible so that we can make the necessary adjustments to make sure that everyone that attends with you is comfortable and able to fully enjoy this once in a lifetime experience!

How Long Does it Take to Try on Wedding Dresses?

The length of time it takes to try on wedding dresses varies depending on several factors such as the number of dresses you want to try, the availability of the dresses, the number of people you bring with you, and your decision-making skills. Generally, brides-to-be spend around 90 minutes in our showroom trying on dresses, which includes trying on different styles, walking around, making sure the dress feels comfortable, taking photos, and making a final decision. However, if you are someone who likes trying on different dresses or bringing a large group of people to help you decide, it may take longer.  Our stylists will adjust the appointment time as needed to ensure you are getting the time you need for your appointment.  It’s essential to make appointments and set aside time for trying on wedding dresses to avoid rushing or feeling overwhelmed. Remember, finding the perfect wedding dress takes time, so enjoy the process and have fun!
